last day of retreat...

this is my design wall of quilts i have made in the past

ok here are some thoughts about the retreat

one of the most amazing weeks i have had!

i took a class with laura cater-woods ~simply an amazing artist, who i know i will

take many more classes with. she is outstanding in how she relates to her students

encouraging everyone and unlimited in her helpful suggestions to everyone.

i made some new wonderful friends....von, who considers me his new best friend, of course

who wouldn't like someone who helps find the greatest grease burger in the northwoods...mary from

traverse city~you and i have more in common than i think we both realize....lera~i am so looking

forward to seeing your finished quilt and YOU at our meeting....debbie~the silent one in the corner

who i admire for her diligence in changing her life and burning fabric~you will be at our meeting too

i cannot wait!....belinda, girl the things you said to me the second day of the retreat i will always

remember and thank you for once again.....carol, your quilt gave me shivers and brought me to

tears......and everyone in my class you all were amazing artists and

so fun to hang out with for the week~and finally laura, without your guidance and encouragement i think

i might have closed that book i finally opened, and yes you may still call me michele with one "l"!

and to some friends i have made before in the class...anne, the more i get to know you and hang out

with you the more i like you!....kelly, i am so glad you came back this year and touched that you kept

my letter i wrote you! all i can say is chicago quilt show in the spring!
